2.  Chubb gets the bulk of the carries

If there was anything to be frustrated with during the Browns Week 17 win, it was the way head coach Kevin Stefanski continued to take the ball out of Nick Chubb‘s hands. The star running back was unstoppable with 108 yards and a touchdown on just 14 carries but the Browns kept taking him out for an entire series at a time.

While this has been the formula all season, there was no denying that Chubb was playing much better than Kareem Hunt who had just 37 yards on 10 rushes. Rather than sticking with the hot hand in their biggest game of the season, Stefanski continued to try and get the committee going.

Now that they’re in the postseason, it’s time for Stefanski to stop worrying about keeping Chubb fresh. He needs to stick with whoever is running best and that should be Chubb once again. This bold prediction is that the Browns will not only make sure to get Chubb the ball more than they did in Week 17, but that they feed him for an entire 60 minutes, giving him 30 carries in the game.

Again, they have a luxury with Kareem Hunt as the No. 2 running back but there’s no reason to go away from Chubb when he’s dealing. He was doing that this past weekend and should be able to continue that trend in the playoffs.
