2. Week 14 Baltimore at Cleveland

A week after the big performance against the Titans, Mayfield and the Browns were set to do battle with the very same team that beat them up in Week 1, the Ravens.

This game was huge for both teams, but even more so for Cleveland, as they still had hopes of winning the division title from Pittsburgh. This was also a shot at redemption against their divisional rival.

Mayfield led the Browns right down the field on an 11-play, 81-yard opening drive capped off by a Nick Chubb five-yard touchdown run. The 12,000 fans permitted inside of FirstEnergy Stadium were immediately sent into a frenzy.

Baltimore responded with a  long touchdown drive of their own. The Browns never backed down and the two exchanged scores leading up to halftime, where the Ravens took a 21-14 lead.

The second half could not start any worse for the Browns as the Ravens scored yet again, making it 28-14. Mayfield didn’t flinch as he led the Browns on an 11-play, 85 -ard touchdown drive capped off by a five-yard touchdown run by Kareem Hunt.

After a three-and-out, Mayfield was back in business, but then disaster struck when he threw an interception. The Ravens walked in from a yard out, but missed the extra point and led 34-21.

Again, Baker did not flinch. He found Higgins from 21-yards out to bring the score to 34-28. After another Ravens punt, Mayfield led the charge down the field yet again, capping it off himself with a five-yard scamper, sliding into the end zone.

Baltimore responded with a  six-minute drive resulting in a touchdown. Mayfield and company responded again when he found Kareem Hunt on a 22-yard seam route with 1:04 left. Justin Tucker nailed the game-winning, 55-yard field goal and Baltimore would tack on a safety to bring the final to 47-42.

Mayfield showed the heart of a warrior despite the loss.
