1. Baker takes another massive leap

There are some things in life that cannot be explained no matter how hard we try. Like, where did D.B. Cooper end up after he jumped out of that plane, or what exactly happened to Andrew Carlssin the man who claimed to be a time-traveler after he made $350 million on risky stock deals. Also, how is it the Simpsons continue to accurately predict the future in their episodes?

Or maybe even more confounding than any of those is how some people still don’t think Baker Mayfield is a franchise quarterback.

Look, we all know he had his issues in 2019 but the fact is, that entire team was a mess with Freddie Kitchens under center. For whatever reason, Kitchens’ favorite play was to send every receiver 40-yards down the field in a straight-line and he thought that would work.

Now with Kitchens gone, not only did Mayfield show more of what we saw during his rookie campaign, but he was actually much better. So now, we have two out of three seasons where he has performed admirably and just led the Cleveland Browns to their first playoff win since 1994 and their first road playoff win since 1969.

In that win, Mayfield had 263 yards passing and three touchdowns with no turnovers at all — whereas Ben Roethlisberger had four picks. And even with that being the case, there are still those who say the team is carrying him.

Of course, those of us who follow Baker know this does nothing but add fuel to his fire and that will happen once again. This final bold prediction is that he outperforms Patrick Mahomes by throwing another three touchdowns with no picks while also topping 300-yards.

Next. Sammy Watkins doesn’t view Browns as competition. dark

It still won’t convince everyone, but it will again show how far he has come from the player we saw struggle in the Freddie Kitchens-led offense in 2019.
