2. Chazz Surratt, LB, North Carolina

Chazz Surratt is what people in the business would call a tackling machine. Cleveland could be in need of his services after a shaky performance by their linebacker room in 2020.  Surratt can also get after the quarterback totaling 12.5 sacks in his last two years at North Carolina.

Surratt actually came to North Carolina as a quarterback but realized he had a better shot at getting to the NFL on the other side of the ball. His brother, Sage Surratt, is also entering the draft as a wide receiver out of Wake Forest. Basically, this guy has some crazy genes, and if you can go from running an offense one year to running a defense the next, you’re a special human.

Infusing some younger talent into the Browns linebacker corps to go along with Jacob Phillips would bring a smile to many of the fans in Cleveland. Seeing as the Browns linebackers may have been their weakest position group on an overall weak defense in 2020.

Joe Schobert was no athletic freak but he was the leader of those Browns defenses and was usually always there to make the tackle. Since Schobert is in Jacksonville, Surratt could really bring this whole defense together and help it be the reason the Browns win games instead of lose them.
