Baltimore Ravens – Yannick Ngakoue

Looking at the list of upcoming free agents for the Baltimore Ravens, there were two names that stood out, Matt Judon and Yannick Ngakoue. Judon’s ability to rush the passer and not be a liability in pass coverage is unique for a man of his position.

Judon would also likely be on a cheaper deal than Ngakoue as he isn’t as proven of a pass rusher. Depending on where you play Judon, whether it be coming off the edge or as coverage outside linebacker, would heavily influence the decision between the two players.

Ngakoue would be the perfect fit on the opposite side of Myles Garrett. His ability to shed blocks and get to the quarterback ranks among the league’s best and would create the best one-two defensive punch in the league. Ngakoue is on the younger side, only 25 years old, and possesses the ability to be a real difference-maker coming off the edge.

Forcing offensive lines to choose to double team either him or Garrett will allow this secondary to relieve a little pressure. The only issue with Ngakoue is he’ll be expensive. How much are you willing to pay him with big contracts coming up in the not too distant future? I’m going all-in on Ngakoue.
