New York Jets – Marcus Maye, Safety

J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS! Oh, how the New York Jets have fallen from the tail end of mediocrity to depths of just plain bad. To reiterate just how bad this Jets team is, this may be the worst two-win team of all time, and of course, one of those wins came against the COVID stricken Browns.

There is, however, one player on this team that Browns fans should be marching to Berea and dropping to their hands and knees to beg Andrew Berry to bring in. That player is Marcus Maye. The Jets season was highlighted by Maye’s stellar play, which solidified him as the best player on the roster by a country mile.

Maye was a top-five player at his position this season and one of the most underrated defensive players in football. Maye played every single defensive snap for the Jets and excelled. Based on how Andrew Sendejo played for the majority of the season, an upgrade at safety is a must, and this could be the guy that solves the team’s struggles for years to come.

At only 27 years old, Maye has already established himself as one of the best free safeties in the NFL.
