4. Jadeveon Clowney

Jadeveon Clowney was closely linked to the Browns last offseason, but chose to sign with the Titans, citing a desire to win (insert laugh track). His contract carried a relatively cheap $13 million, but he played just eight games due to a knee injury and was underwhelming when he was on the field.

This will all factor into the price of his next deal, and it is unlikely that any team would be willing to give him a long-term contract at this point. However, a strong rebound season would likely change things, and he’d have a great chance to make that happen in Cleveland.

3. Trey Hendrickson

The Saints can’t afford to re-sign Trey Hendrickson (or any of their players, for that matter), and his market is likely to price him out of Cleveland’s range, but again, cheaper one-year deals are going to be quite common this offseason because players know it is in their best interest to hit the market when teams actually have cap space to spend.

Hendrickson played well in a rotational role with Marcus Davenport over the past three seasons, and a campaign similar to 2020 (13.5 sacks) would make Hendrickson perhaps the crown jewel of the 2021 defensive class.
