Drew Brees – New Orleans Saints

Trade Possibility: I highly doubt it

Now, many of you may be thinking, “WOAH! Drew Brees is this low? But he’s one of the best quarterbacks of this generation!” Yes, Drew Brees was very good and at the top of his game for a very long time. Unfortunately for him, that time ended three years ago. Statistically, Drew Brees was still a monster on the field, but if you really watched the Saints then you would have seen the other side of the story.

Brees has missed nine games in the past two seasons and the team looked the same, if not better without him. His arm strength is going and he just isn’t hitting those passes that everybody is used to seeing him hit. He’s becoming a YAC — yards after catch —  merchant with the rise of Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara.

This past season was almost unwatchable. He looked old, rundown and decrepit, and nowhere near the player he once was. The clock is ticking for Brees and if he returns, don’t be surprised if the Saints take a step back next season. It may finally be time for Drew to hang them up before a defender, as bad as it sounds, puts him out to pasture.
