Kyler Murray – Arizona Cardinals

Cowherd once again goes against Mayfield (you’re starting to see a trend here) and thinks that Kyler Murray has a higher ceiling. While I do agree that Murray was significantly improved from year one to year two, how can you not see the improvement that Mayfield had from year two to year three? When he finally had a head coach to help him progress.

In my opinion, Murray sways Cowherd just because he makes a few exciting plays a game with his feet. While that is great and fun to watch on Sports Center, it doesn’t mean he is going to be a better quarterback in the NFL for the next five years.

He is still an under 70 percent completion guy who struggled to get his team to 8-8. Another factor we can’t ignore, the Cardinals are in a tough division that isn’t going away. Playing the Seahawks, Rams, and 49ers twice a year is no cakewalk.

Dak Prescott – Dallas Cowboys

I agree with Cowherd on almost everything in this one. Dak Prescott is likely the better option for the next five seasons. He’s a tremendous athlete, has great accuracy, and has also shown how valuable he is to the team after seeing them fall apart after his injury.

Cowherd does mention that Mayfield has critics inside the Browns locker room, I do disagree with that 100 percent. Mayfield is authentic, and you know exactly who he is. You dislike someone for being fake, not for being who they are, and not afraid to show it.

Mayfield has proven to be the leader of the team and has grown leaps and bounds over the last two seasons. With that, I’ll agree with Colin that Prescott is the better option, even with the injury last season.
