Mitch Trubisky – Chicago Bears

This one is strange to me, I’m not sure why this is even a question. Luckily Cowherd goes with Mayfield over Mitch Trubisky, but if anything has been proven over the last few seasons it is that Trubisky is limited when it comes to throwing the football.

While Mayfield can be criticized for poor stats, in 2018 which was Trubisky’s best season, he threw for 3,223 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. The team won 11 games, so great, but I don’t think Trubisky is even in the same ballpark as Mayfield as far as talent. I argue if Mayfield was on the Bears team in 2018, they may have played for a Super Bowl (maybe a new kicker as well).

Tom Brady – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Okay, how can you possibly rip the greatest of all time, Tom Brady? I must assume that’s why Colin picked Brady over Mayfield, simply because of his age. Yes, Brady won a Super Bowl last year, but he is 43 years old. You made the game Colin, I’m not sure how you can pick him over Mayfield for five more years. You will likely win 0 games the last three seasons because he will be retired.

I won’t pick on this one much, because for at least another season I don’t know how anyone could pick against him. Especially with the roster, they have put together in Tampa. The day Brady retires will be a sad day for fans who have seen him from the beginning, but that day is coming sooner than later.

While Colin may end up being right on all these picks, let’s not forget he is human too and can be wrong. And while some of his picks do make sense, I do disagree with quite a few.

Browns fans, don’t let Colin get under your skin, just enjoy his takes and listen to what he has to say.
