Detroit Lions – Kenny Golladay, Wide Receiver

Now, normally I have to go find a list of every team’s free agents and sit around, contemplating, which player I should choose for these articles. I know I’ve said that I’ve had easy decisions before, but I didn’t need to look at a list for this. There is only one player on the Detroit Lions that the Browns should consider going after and that’s Kenny Golladay.

Golladay is one of the best and most underrated receivers in the NFL and now is his chance to get out of Detroit. At 27 years old, he’s a little on the older side but he just fits in so well with this Cleveland Browns offense, it’s a match made in Heaven.

After only five games into the 2020 season, Golladay was sidelined with a hip injury that held him out the rest of the year. In his previous two seasons, he hauled in 135 catches for 2,253 yards and 16 touchdowns, and a Pro Bowl appearance. If he can stay healthy, that’s a big “if”, then the Browns will have three No. 1 quality receivers to work with which would do wonders for Baker Mayfield’s development and would really open new doors for Kevin Stefanski’s playcalling.

With the addition of Golladay to the Browns receiving corps of Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry, and Austin Hooper, the offense would be unstoppable. The team would instantly jump from a fringe playoff team to a legitimate Super Bowl contender. This is an easy, no-brainer move.
