3. Anthony Harris – Safety

There were rumors all last season that the Cleveland Browns were deep in the hunt for Minnesota Viking’s star safety, Anthony Harris. While it never came to fruition in 2020, some believe he could be in play again after playing on the franchise tagin 2020.

Harris had a down year in coverage last season compared to 2019, as he went from six interceptions to zero. However, he did have over 100 tackles last season which isn’t necessarily a good thing for your starting safety.

The Vikings will want to keep Harris but will have a tough decision with Harrison Smith in the last year of his contract and not getting any younger. While there is a good chance that Harris changes jerseys in 2021, don’t look for it to be brown and orange.

Last season the Browns added Ronnie Harrison right before the season. After a few weeks of learning the system, Harrison quickly emerged as one of the best players on the Browns defense and should only get better with a full offseason under his belt.

Adding a player like Harris would be great for the Browns defense, but unfortunately, there are much bigger needs at linebacker and defensive end right now to spend $14-16 million per year on a safety. This puts a lot of eggs in the Harrison and Delpit basket, but don’t expect Andrew Berry to open his wallet for a safety this offseason.
