2. Matt Milano – Linebacker

Another interesting name that will be on the board this free agency is Buffalo Bills linebacker, Matt Milano. While Milano has been a highly productive player, there are a few faults to his game.

One, he has not played a full season in the last three years. He always seems to end up with a nagging injury that keeps him off the field.

Two, he is not known for being a great run defender. While he is tremendous in coverage with running backs and tight ends, he has missed a ton of tackles in the run game which can make him a bit of a liability.

While Milano would be a nice fit in Cleveland as an outside linebacker, I wouldn’t get your hopes up. Milano will likely demand $10 plus million per year, which Berry will likely not be willing to pay to a player that struggles in run defense.

Not to mention the Bills will be very hungry to keep Milano. With a roster that was so close to playing for a Super Bowl and a quarterback with one more year at a reasonable cap number, the Bills will be all in to win in 2021 which will likely cost the Browns a shot a Milano as well.

The Browns will likely sign a linebacker, but don’t look for it to be a $10 million per year guy. Berry will try to get another low price; high value singing like B.J. Goodson and likely draft a linebacker in the first few rounds of the 2021 draft.
