3 cap casualty veterans the Cleveland Browns should consider

These potential cap casualties could find a home with the Cleveland Browns
One unfortunate part of the game is that at the end of the day, this is a business. And while the Cleveland Browns will likely have to part ways with a few of their own players because they are making too much money, they could also be on the receiving end of a veteran who was cut somewhere else because of their salary.
These players are usually in the back portion of their careers and signed big contracts prior that now are detrimental to the team’s cap space. Think about it, a team is investing in a guy for five-plus years. How many of you have never even driven a car for five years?
In past years the Browns haven’t been as active in the veteran market because they weren’t that close to competing for a title. Now that the team is closer, general manager Andrew Berry is likely to take a few risks with one or two-year deals with veterans looking for a home.
Not only will Berry be looking, but players will also be interested in joining the Browns because they have a competitive roster that is very close to being elite. In the past, the Browns only attracted talent who wanted to get the most money, now they can get guys that just want to win.
As the beginning of the league year comes nearer, you can expect many more of these veteran guys to hit the market, including a guy or two from the Browns. Here are three veterans who are currently available that could add a ton of value to the Browns roster in 2021.
