Cleveland Browns potential throwback jersey leaked
By Randy Gurzi
The Cleveland Browns unveiled new jerseys in 2020 and did a good job of avoiding leaks, but might have just had a potential throwback leaked on Sunday
Last season, the Cleveland Browns got a new look by turning back the clock a little.
They had a massive overhaul to their look in 2015, and they were simply hated. They went with way too much writing on the front, down the leg, and anywhere else they could. It felt like an apology letter for having no logo on the helmet and they made up for that by putting some type of logo wherever they could fit one.
Then in 2020, they returned to a look similar to what we remeber. Clean, classic, and simple. And fans loved it.
Now, they might have another look to consider as there have been leaks on Sunday suggesting Cleveland will have a new throwback jersey, which looks like something the team wore back in the 1940s when they were dominating the AAFC and then the NFL when their initial league folded.
Jase Greenberg might not have an affiliation with the team but he has been dropping many potential leaks and it was enough to get the attention of Jeff Risdon of Browns Wire.
The look isn’t drastically different from what they normally wear, other than the bright outline behind the number. It’s interesting, but we still don’t know if the unis are legit.
If they are, the next question will be about the facemasks. That remains the one thing fans would have liked to see changed but maybe a compromise can be had if they wear white facemasks for the throwbacks.
