4. New York Jets via Atlanta Falcons – Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon

While many speculate that the Jets are dead set on moving on from quarterback Sam Darnold, why wouldn’t they give him another year to prove himself? By trading back just a few spots they will build up draft capital for the future and are still in a tremendous cap situation.

Penei Sewell could take the Jets offensive line to the next level. He’s one of the best tackle prospects in years and could be the next all-time great. Yes, they drafted Mekhi Becton last season who played well, but he was a right tackle for most of the college as well.

Give Darnold solid protection for a year, which is exactly what you would get with the addition of Sewell. If that doesn’t work, look for a quarterback next year.

5. Cincinnati Bengals – Rashawn Slater, OT, Northwestern

With Sewell off the board early, the Bengals could look to trade back as the offensive line is a glaring weakness for the team. They could even consider a trade-up for Sewell, but that just isn’t how the Bengals operate.

Rashawn Slater from Northwestern may be a bit of a reach at pick no. five, but it’s still the best pick for the Bengals in this situation. Slater has great tape against guys like Chase Young and has experience at every single position on the offensive line.

While the Bengals would need him to start somewhere in 2021, his versatility would be a huge plus. Many will disagree with this pick, but the Bengals were dealt a bad hand and just have to adjust.
