110th and 132nd overall – Cameron Sample, Tulane, and Jonathon Cooper, Ohio State

Big fan of the guys the American Athletic Conference is producing lately, and this guy, Cameron Sample is no different. Sample had a great showing at the 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl. He was able to use his lateral quickness to easily beat the larger and slower offensive linemen. We have yet to see him consistently match up against lineman that are the caliber of some of the guys he’ll be going up against in the NFL but he looks great off his mechanics and techniques alone.

Sample played all along the line for the Green Wave throughout his time at Tulane. He’s shown his quick step off the edge and his power and explosiveness on the interior. NFL teams will be all over him in the mid-rounds after his stellar showing at the Senior Bowl. His versatility is exactly what coaches want nowadays in players.

Another guy that might be available here in the fourth round is Ohio State’s Jonathon Cooper. He doesn’t have as high of a ceiling as some recent Ohio State products, looking at Chase Young and the Bosa brothers, but I definitely think he’ll be a starting quality player at the next level.

A guy that could thrive in the perfect position, he’s definitely the safest edge rusher available at this point in the draft. He’s the most pro-ready out of the remaining guys and showed his skills in the Big Ten, the conference that consistently churns out the best of the best in terms of offensive linemen.
