1. CB Brian Poole

The Browns attempted to coax the lightning from the proverbial bottle with the signing of Kevin Johnson, who played well in a small sample size from the slot in 2019. That didn’t end up happening, and Johnson struggled. It’s time for the team to find a true slot, preferably one with proven great play over multiple seasons.

Enter Brian Poole, who has been great for the past two seasons with the New York Jets. With the amount of 13 personnel that offenses run nowadays and the fantastic receivers who line up inside, the slot corner is not just a starting position, but a very valuable one.

PFF projects Poole to earn $18 million over the next three seasons, which would be a steal for the performance he’s put up over the past two years. If the Browns can land him for anything close to that, they’ll be well on their way to winning free agency, for whatever that’s worth.

These five players may not be the best on the market at their respective positions, but they all provide a great deal of value relative to their level of play and would all make huge impacts for the Browns as they attempt to win a Super Bowl in 2021 and beyond.
