New Orleans Saints – Johnson Bademosi, Cornerback

Okay this one is purely for a player-team reunion, a nice feel-good moment for the Browns in the offseason. Johnson Bademosi played for the Cleveland Browns from 2012 to 2015 before he began to bounce around the league.

Never really an outstanding player, by any stretch of the word, Bademosi bounced between five different teams since his departure from Cleveland in 2015. He’s only started six games in his career but with the very young secondary group that the Browns have, he’d be there more as a guide. With a secondary with barring injury history, we may end up seeing Bademosi take the field in a Browns uniform once again.

In his 120-game career, Bademosi has 141 total tackles, 9 pass breakups 3 tackles for loss, a pair of fumble recoveries and an interception. Since he has spent most of his career as a special teamer, I’m sure there would be a spot available for him in the special teams unit. The 30 year old would bring veteran experience that the team desperately needs while also bringing in a great locker room presence.

A member of the 2012 Pro Football Writers of America All-Rookie Team, Bademosi will likely find himself on an NFL roster one way or another. Whether that be because of a freak injury that occurs, players getting COVID if it’s still around next season, or just a team taking a flyer in free agency because someone falls off, Bademosi will be an available option. His experience as a pure special teamer would also be valuable to any franchise.
