Secondary

Another interesting position on the Cleveland Browns roster is the secondary. They added Johnston (safety) and Hill (cornerback), have guys like Denzel Ward, Ronnie Harrison, Grant Delpit, and Greedy Williams on the roster, and still could make another move.

Like linebacker, I don’t expect the Browns to spend any more money in free agency in the secondary, but I would not be shocked to see multiple draft picks used.

If the right guy (fingers crossed Jaycee Horn), would happen to fall in the draft, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the Browns took a corner at pick No. 26. Being able to defend the pass in today’s game is so important, and after being so bad last year Berry will do everything possible to correct it.

Also, injuries were so crucial last year to the secondary so adding some depth can’t hurt at all. Remember, Delpit nor Williams played a single snap last year, while Ward and Harrison also missed games with injuries.

While you hope that was just bad luck in 2020, the team has to be prepared for injuries again in 2021, so a corner early wouldn’t be shocking at all.

I also think a safety in the later rounds is a strong possibility as the development of Sheldrick Redwine has not been as smooth as many have desired.

Next. Browns dodged a bullet with Sam Darnold. dark

Don’t expect it to be someone to start on day one, but just more depth and a contributor on special teams for 2021.
