The Cleveland Browns are entering this offseason with far fewer needs than they are used to from previous years. The offensive unit is basically ready for the 2021 season as it stands now. Even though the defense could use some work, they have the pieces in place to be competent next season.

Even though the team is in a great spot there are still a few spots where they should add talent in this upcoming 2021 NFL Draft. The three biggest needs are wide receiver, cornerback, and edge rusher.

The Browns have three (hopefully four, depending on Donovan Peoples-Jones) established wide receivers on the roster now. The room is full of talent, but it does lack one thing, speed. The Browns should look to add a receiver with speed to increase the offense’s ability to attack defenses.

Cleveland added a lot to their secondary through free agency this season, but they should still add a cornerback with a high draft pick. This is mainly because of the uncertainty surrounding Greedy Williams and his return to the field this season. More depth is also nice too.

Takkarist McKinley was added in free agency as someone who could potentially play opposite Myles Garrett. The Browns should still invest in an edge rusher from the draft because McKinley is far from guaranteed on-field production. There is also a big need for depth in this position as well.

The best draft strategy for the upcoming draft would be to take one player at each of these positions with the Browns’ first three draft picks. Here are the best options at these positions that could be available while the Browns are on the clock.
