3. Craig Robertson

After starting his career with the Cleveland Browns, Craig Robertson left to play with the New Orleans Saints and is now looking for another home. After a monster first season with the Saints, Robertson has struggled to see the field and has just 48 tackles over the last three seasons.

At age 33, Robertson is certainly past his prime, but that doesn’t mean he can’t perform for at least another year. In 2013 and 2014, Robertson was a top performer on the Browns defense and had 184 tackles between the two years.

Robertson is not a guy who is going to come in and play every single snap, but in a three-linebacker situation, he can be more than effective, especially vs. the run.

Robertson also brings experience to the locker room, and a ton of experience winning with the Saints. While the Browns seemed to get over the hump of winning close games in 2020, it can’t be undervalued on how important a winning culture is to a team.

Not only would Robertson bring experience, but he would also come at an extreme discount as his NFL career is coming to an end. A one-year deal worth $1 million or less could be a great value for Berry to continue to improve his defense.
