Cleveland Browns Draft: Three potential late round wide receiver gems
By Nick Swanson
3. Tamorrion Terry, Florida State
Tamorrion Terry is an absolute unit of a player. At Florida State’s pro day he measured in at 6-foot-2 6/8 inches and 207 pounds. Build-wise, he’s a smaller DK Metcalf. His play is very similar to Metcalf as well in that he plays even bigger than he is and is very explosive off the line and with the ball in his hands.
Terry is a very physical receiver that has the tools to overpower defenders and come down strong with the ball. He’s still a developmental wideout but his ceiling is as high as anybody’s in this class. He mainly just needs to work on his route tree in order to fit into an NFL offense, while his catching ability remains a concern as well.
In his best season with the Florida State Seminoles, Terry was unstoppable. His 2019 sophomore campaign ended with 60 receptions for 1,188 yards, an average of 19.8 yards per catch, and 9 touchdowns.
His performance landed him on the 2019 All-ACC Second Team. In 2020, Terry underwent a minor knee surgery, missing two games, before opting out of the remainder of the season six games in. Terry is going to slide down boards because of very limited experience as well as question marks on his catching ability.
Putting him in a player-friendly offense under Kevin Stefanski and with a young quarterback that he can grow with in Baker Mayfield, the Browns would be a great landing spot for Terry.
