Cleveland Browns: Top 5 trade-up targets on Day 2 of the 2021 NFL Draft
By Sam Penix
1. Rondale Moore, WR, Purdue
Injuries have limited Moore to just seven games over the past two seasons (he essentially opted out of the 2020 campaign, so this number is inflated), but no one should forget his 2018 true freshman season when he dominated college football. Moore is just 5-7 (which may be scaring some teams away), but that’s just one inch shorter than Tyreek Hill, whose game Moore’s play closely resembles. Moore is a solid 180 pounds with legit 4-2 speed, elite explosiveness, acceleration, short-area burst, and agility, and he squats 600 pounds.
He’s a freak of nature who is ridiculously quick on the field. His ability to make people miss (and look hilarious doing it) is downright comical. He can turn any touch into a long score and his presence demands respect. Stefanski had JoJo Natson running jet fakes and sweeps in an attempt to add some semblance of speed to his offense. Now imagine him doing the same thing (and much more) with Moore.
Like Marshall, the Browns would need to be comfortable with Moore’s health, but if they are, he’d add a level of dynamism this team hasn’t seen since 2013 Josh Gordon.
It would be a surprise if the Browns stayed where they are on Day 2 of the 2021 NFL Draft. These five players would all be worth moving up for, as they would provide impacts both now and down the road.
