One position that will have new faces in 2021 is defensive tackle. With Larry Ogunjobi and Sheldon Richardson now off the roster, it will be time for new faces to step up.

The Browns signed veteran Malik Jackson in free agency, and Andrew Billings will return after not playing in 2020 because of COVID19. While these two are expected to be the starters, you could see a huge push from two young guys.

Jordan Elliott was the Browns third-round pick last year, and in a limited number of snaps in 2020, he showed real promise. With another year of experience, there is a good chance he slides in the second starting defensive tackle over Jackson.

Another player that could compete in camp for the starting defensive tackle position is the 2021 fourth-round pick, Tommy Tagiai out of Ohio State. It remains to be seen how quickly his game transfers, but he was a complete monster at the collegiate level and someone that took a huge leap from 2019 to 2020 in his game.

T appears unlikely that Elliott and Togiai are the starters on day one, but expect one of the two to win the job after being three and four on the depth chart to start camp. Elliott has proven he can play, but Togiai could be a pleasant surprise next year as a rookie.
