Comparing Cleveland Browns Myles Garrett to 2017 EDGE draft class

Forced Fumbles
"T.J. Watt: 17 Myles Garrett: 10 Haason Reddick: 9 Samson Ebukam: 6 Ryan Anderson: 5 Tarell Basham & Taco Charlton: 4 Trey Hendrickson & DerekBarnett: 3 Takk McKinley, Avery Moss, Al-Quadin Muhammad, Dawuane Smoot, & Carl Lawson: 2"
T.J. Watt claims first place in this statistic, and you’re going to see that a lot in this comparison. It’s important to remember that Watt has played in 11 more games than Myles Garrett, so that’s a big reason why you will see his name all over the leaderboards here.
Watt has been an absolute animal so far in his career and was a tremendous pickup for the Pittsburgh Steelers. When doing a little bit of number crunching, you can see that Watt averages .274 forced fumbles a game, or slightly above one forced fumble every four games. In comparison, Myles averages .196 forced fumbles per game, or slightly below one forced fumble every five games.
These two guys, Myles and Watt, are by far the best edge defenders in their class. However, you shouldn’t sleep on some of these other guys, as Haason Reddick has recently been coming into his own in the NFL. Last season was a breakout year for Haason Reddick, and it will be a great storyline to watch if he can continue his success, now in Carolina, or if he will go down as a one-year wonder.
