In honor of Tim Tebow playing tight end and Brandon Jacobs wanting to play EDGE, here are 3 Cleveland browns who could come back and play a brand new position

There’s been a lot of reaction to Tim Tebow returning to the NFL to play for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Of course, most of the reaction has been negative since most fans don’t see how a 33-year-old can make it as a tight end, since he’s never played the position before.

However, one former NFL player saw this as an opportunity. Former New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs recently took to social media to say he wants to return to the league, but as a defensive end.

"“Well since Tebow came back after being off a good bit, I am announcing today that I to will comeback. I will play defensive end for whatever team gives me a chance!!!” — Jacobs via Twitter"

His desire to come back got the wheels turning and brought up the question — which Cleveland Browns players could decide to unretire and take on an entirely new position in the NFL? Let’s check out the top three candidates to do just that.

3. Johnny Manziel, Wide Receiver

Comeback season part three. Or is it four?

Johnny Manziel jas tried to make several comebacks since flaming out with the Cleveland Browns and none have gone his way. He didn’t make it in the CFL, the AAF, and now the Fan Controlled Football League but nothing has gotten him another sniff in the NFL since being cut by Cleveland in 2016.

But as Tim Tebow demonstrated, Johnny Football’s problem isn’t trying to make it back to the NFL. It’s trying to make it back as a tight end.

JFF needs to go ahead and make a switch himself and what better spot for him to play than wide receiver? Listed at 6-foot-0 and 210-pounds, Manziel has decent size for the position and could be a shifty slot receiver who can put his athleticism to work once he’s in the open field.

It might not erase the stink from his failed time at quarterback but at least he can get back in the good graces with the people of Cleveland.
