2. Peyton Hillis, Linebacker

Following the 2009 season, the Cleveland Browns gave up on Brady Quinn and traded him to the Denver Broncos. In that trade, they ended up with a late-round pick as well as Peyton Hillis a fullback turned running back.

A former Madden cover athlete, Hillis was a monster in 2010 with 1,177 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns for the Browns. Unfortunately, that was his only great season as he had just 587 yards the following season before heading to Kansas City.

Not too long ago, Hillis expressed regret for leaving Cleveland when he did, and now with players such as Tebow and possibly Jacobs making their return, maybe he should as well.

But since the Browns are set at running back with Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, Hillis should just line up as a linebacker. He would have no problem holding up at the position since he was listed at 6-foot-1 and 240-pounds, which is the perfect size to lay the lumber on smaller running backs.

Cleveland could use the help too since the linebacker position hasn’t been a position of strength for them in recent seasons. In 2021, they should be leaning heavily on free-agent addition Anthony Walker and rookie Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah but that doesn’t mean there’s no room for a hard-nosed throwback player such as Hillis to come in and throw his hat in the ring.
