The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including a look at Marcus Spears touting their roster as the NFL’s best

Marcus Spears wasn’t having the 20-0 talk for the Kansas City Chiefs.

He was asking why everyone is wondering about the Chiefs beating everyone with a perfect record when they have to get past the Cleveland Browns in Week 1. His reasoning for thinking that won’t be easy for Kansas City — Cleveland has the best roster in the NFL.

Naturally, this led to a lot of debate but is Spears right? As it stands now, there’s no weakness at all on this roster thanks to a huge influx of defensive talent this offseason. So yeah, maybe they are the best on paper.

The problem is, the games aren’t played on paper. This team has to prove they can come together and win but the good news is, they have the talent to do so.

That love for the Cleveland roster and more can be found in today’s Daily Dawg Tags.

Marcus Spears: Browns Have AFC’s Best Roster On Paper — Marc Bergin, Browns Nation

"“On paper, right now in the NFL on the AFC side, the Cleveland Browns have the best roster,” Spears said. “Quote me.”"

Spears was emphatic about the roster being loaded and he’s right. Sure, you can point to the Chiefs having Patrick Mahomes who is arguably the best player in the NFL right now but their roster overall has more holes than the Browns. This should make for a fun contest in Week 1.

Can Baker Mayfield put together his first full good season? 21 questions for the Browns in ’21 _ Mary Kay Cabot, Cleveland.com

"“Evaluations for Mayfield heading into 2021 ran the gamut, with PFF ranking him 10th among QBs, and CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco leaving him off of his list of the top 100 players for 2021, which includes 14 quarterbacks.”"

Mary Kay believes Mayfield will be able to build upon the success he had in 2020 and cites several reasons. The biggest, of course, is the fact that he will be in the same system for a second season for the first time in his NFL career. That in itself should be a reason to believe he can start off on the right foot.

NFL analyst names Cleveland Browns O-line as league’s best

Marcus Spears thinks the whole roster is the best in the NFL. As for Brian Baldinger, he was looking primarily at the offensive line and he says Cleveland has the best five in the business there.
