3 Early takeaways from Cleveland Browns 2021 OTAs

1. High praise for JOK
We already got to see Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah hit the field during rookie minicamps but now, he’s out there with veterans and it’s still apparent that he belongs in this league.
JOK got some work in with teammate Anthony Walker, and the former Indianapolis Colts linebacker was impressed with what he saw.
"“Elite athlete as far as explosiveness, quickness, speed, instincts and all of that stuff, he has it – all of the tools. Now, it’s about transitioning the game to the NFL level. I’ve struggled with it. We all struggle with it coming in from college and now you’re seeing a pro-style offense and understanding different route concepts and all of that stuff.’’ — Walker, via Mary Kay Cabot"
Walker even compared Owusu-Koramoah to a former teammate of his, Darius Leonard. A second-round pick in 2018, Leonard had 163 tackles, seven sacks. and two picks as a rookie. He added another 121 tackles, five sacks, and five interceptions in year two before scoring 132 tackles and three sacks last season.
Simply put, Leonard is an absolute playmaker and if JOK ends up being anywhere close to the level he performs at, Browns fans will be ecstatic.
Sure, it’s early and we still need to see him with the pads on but Walker has been around this league for a long time, and having him praise the young man is a great compliment.
