This past draft class for the Browns brought in some exciting names. First-round pick Greg Newsome II has the ability to be a starter down the road and filled a major need. He will have to beat out Greedy Williams who is back after missing all of 2020 but even if he’s unable to do this right away, he will give them some much-needed depth.

There’s also third-round pick Anthony Schwartz who was one of the fastest players in this class. The Auburn product gives the Browns a speed element they were missing for the majority of the 2020 season and even though he might not be a top-three receiver on the team, he’s going to have a role. And he’s going to force defenses to respect his speed.

As exciting as those two are, there’s an argument to be made that Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah from Notre Dame is the draft pick that brings the most intrigue. A hybrid linebacker, JOK had first-round talent and if he were the selection at No. 26, no one would have batted an eye. But he ended up falling into the second round, giving Cleveland two players who could not only become starters one day but could also be cornerstone pieces to their defense.

Coming into the mandatory OTAs, there has already been a lot of praise heaped onto Owusu-Koramaoh but things will only get more challenging for him as camp goes on. So far, he played against other rookies and backup offensive players. Now with the starters coming to Berea, it will be interesting to see if he continues to stand out.
