3. Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry, Wide Receivers

One of the toughest decisions in the next 12 months will be what to do at wide receiver. Two big-name players that will be at the heart of those decisions are Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham.

Beckham is technically under contract for the next three years, and truthfully, if he stays healthy, it’s not a bad contract for the Cleveland Browns. I have two big concerns with Beckham. One, will he stay healthy? The last two years have been a big struggle for him to perform at 100 percent.

Two, will he be happy with this contract? He has complained in the past about pay increases, and soon he won’t be a top paid receiver. He certainly will have to increase his production to even consider an increase, but this could be a contract the Browns try and move.

Landry is under contract for two more seasons and has little dead cap after the 2021 season. He has been a great performer for the Browns, but he isn’t necessarily a difference-maker on the field. At the right price, Landry is a great NFL receiver, but unfortunately, he is overpaid.

If Beckham can stay healthy in 2021, I think he makes it to 2022. However, if he is injured again look for the Browns to move on.  For Landry, I don’t see him lasting after this season. Many will be sad to see him go, but the NFL is a business. Berry will be much more willing to give extensions to younger players at more important positions than shell out $16.6 million to a second receiver.

Don’t panic Browns fans, the roster has a ton of depth at the position, which is another reason I see some major changes coming.
