1. Odell Beckham, Jr., Wide Receiver

Another player who was added in 2019 was Odell Beckham, Jr. the electric wideout who began his NFL career with the New York Giants. OBJ was added in exchange for a first-round pick (the No. 17 overall selection) and the expectation was that he would be the team’s go-to receiver.

He did record 1,035 yards on 74 receptions but that wasn’t what was expected from him. Beckham also knows he was capable of so much more but the Browns as a whole were a mess that season under one-and-done head coach Freddie Kitchens.

Once they decided to change head coaches from Kitchens to Kevin Stefanski, hopes were renewed for Beckham in Cleveland. Unfortunately, he and the entire offense started out slowly after an offseason held via virtual meetings and he then tore his ACL in Week 7.

OBJ finished with 319 yards on 23 catches in six games which was a fraction of what he’s capable of. Now recovered from his torn ACL, he’s on a mission to prove he’s still the same guy we saw in New York.

As for his status with the Browns, this could be the final chance he has to show he should be with the team long-term. He’s turning 29 this season and getting farther removed from his glory days, which is a bit concerning.
