No. 1 – Nick Chubb

How Nick Chubb wasn’t an All-Pro in 2019 is still a mystery. The guy ran for nearly 1,500 yards and eight touchdowns. Unfortunately, the Browns six wins that season was a major disappointment and cost him dearly.

2020 was also a strong year, but missing the four games likely cost him a chance at being selected as an All-Pro. He still managed over 1,000 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns. His yard per carry was 5.6 compared to 5.0 in 2019.

The Kevin Stefanski system will get him over the edge in 2021. Stefanski wants to pound the rock, and Chubb is the perfect guy to do that. Not to mention, Chubb may have the best offensive line in the NFL to run behind (3 could be All-Pro repeats).

With Chubb, it’s not how he starts the game running the football, it’s how he ends the game. The runs start out at 3-4 yards a pop, and then before you know it, they come in 10 to 15-yard gashes. His physical style of running just wears defenses out time and time again.

Not only will Chubb be the offensive MVP, the rest he will give the defense by slowly moving the chain and chewing up the clock can’t be overlooked. The old days of the defense starting strong and ending up gassed after so many three-and-outs are over. Guys like Clowney and Garrett can remain rested and have plenty of gas in the tank come the fourth quarter.

Chubb should have no issues earning All-Pro honors in 2021, and it likely won’t be his last.  Running backs have a shorter life span than most positions in the league, but Chubb appears to have multiple years of high performance left in him.
