Wide Receiver

Finally, is the prediction for the wide receiver room. As mentioned above, I do expect the Cleveland Browns to start the season with six wide receivers, a kick returner, and only three tight ends. With the depth and experience they have at the position, it may push Stefanski into more three and even four wide receiver sets.

The top four likely locks will be Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry, Donovan Peoples-Jones, and Rashard Higgins. These four guys were the top receivers in 2020 and I don’t see much changing in 2021.

The fifth guy will likely be the rookie, Anthony Schwartz. I worry about his limited route tree, but his speed will bail him out of a lot of bad situations. Stefanski and Berry will want to see what the rookie has, but his snaps will likely be limited in 2021.

The final guy to make the roster that could be the swing player in KhaDarel Hodge. This is a guy that saw a lot of snaps in 2019 and 2020 but struggles to separate himself from the top four receivers above. His size and ability to play special teams could be what earns him the final spot, but he is a guy who has lost sleep wondering if he will have a spot.

This Browns offense in 2021 will be loaded with talent, so the final decisions on who dresses each Sunday will certainly be more difficult than ever before.
