Cleveland Browns Cornerbacks (5)

Denzel Ward
Greg Newsome II
Troy Hill
Greedy Williams
M.J. Stewart

Denzel Ward and Greg Newsome will be the starting cornerbacks for the Browns and that means they’re going to have two first-round picks lined up at corner. Ward has developed into one of the best in the game and now the addition of Newsome vastly improves them.

A product of Northwestern, Newsome showed enough in the playoffs to earn the job. He was also able to stay healthy, which wasn’t the case for Greedy Williams who falls to fourth on the depth chart after losing the starting job to Newsome in this prediction.

The injuries are a concern not only for Newsome and Williams but also for Ward. Newsome missed roughly 40 percent of his collegiate games whereas Williams has missed 20 games in two seasons. Ward hasn’t been dealt as bad of an injury hand but he has missed time in every season.

Thankfully, they’re much deeper after adding Newsome and signing Troy Hill from the Rams. Hill is a stud in the slot but he can play on the outside if needed. In a perfect world, he won’t have to do that but we all know there’s nothing perfect when it comes to durability in the NFL.

Figuring out the final spot is tough but we roll with M.J. Stewart here simply because he’s versatile enough to play in the slot, making him a good option if Hill ever did get hurt.
