Cleveland Browns FA target No. 2: Ezekial Ansah

Another option that could be out there, is the addition of the former No. 5 overall pick, Ezekial “Ziggy” Ansah. This is a guy that came into the league with an extremely high ceiling but really fell off after a 14.5 sack season in year three of the NFL.

Ansah spent his first six seasons with the Detroit Lions where he had 48 total sacks but has only had 2.5 total sacks since leaving before the 2019 season.

Ansah signed a one-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers in 2020 but only played in two games after tearing his pec muscle which made him miss the entire season.

That would be the huge question mark or risk with signing a guy like Ansah, is he even healthy? To be a free agent this late in the game, there is a decent chance he may not be ready to play in week one.

Once again, this is a guy that may just need a change of scenery, and after having an entire year off from football, maybe his body is finally healthy. Could he be a guy that comes in and gets six or seven sacks in 2021 only playing 25 percent of the snaps?

The price should be right for Ansah but would Berry ever be willing to take a risk that big.
