No. 1 – Myles Garrett, Defensive End

I don’t think there are a ton of questions about the Browns offense in 2021. With all starters returning, fans would honestly be happy if it was just as good as last year.

The defense on the other end must be better. Far too often the Browns defense was giving up huge plays. Whether it was a 35-yard run, a 60-yard pass, or a short catch where they gave up 25 yards after the catch, it was a painful year.

Myles Garrett won’t be the only thing that fixes those issues in 2021, but he will be a major factor. Remember, Garrett was vocal that he wasn’t the same after having COVID-19. His conditioning never recovered, and he was still extremely dominant.

After a full year to get healthy, and the addition of Jadaveon Clowney on the other side of the line, look for Garrett to have a monster year that could put him in the running for Defensive Most Valuable Player of the year.

With teams having to focus on Clowney and Garrett, and teams having to play catch up, I don’t think it is outrageous for Garrett to have a 20-sack season.

Next. 3 Moves Browns should have made. dark

If Garrett can get pressure on the quarterback without Woods having to blitz constantly, that makes everyone’s life easier on the defense. The cornerbacks won’t be forced into one on ones, and the linebackers won’t be covering running backs and tight ends nearly as often.
