With the Cleveland Browns kickoff right around the corner, we will finally get the opportunity to see some players either prove themselves or prove all of the doubters right.

Most of the Cleveland Browns roster is already deeply admired by the majority of the fan base and staff. A handful of them have even proven themselves as some of the best in the league at their respective positions.

Just like any team in the league though, there are a few guys on the roster that haven’t fully proven themselves yet.

2021 will be the last year for the following players to sell themselves to the Browns coaching staff and fans.

Cleveland Browns player feeling pressure, No. 3: Linebacker, Mack Wilson

One player every Browns fan had hopes for is the third-year Linebacker, Mack Wilson. Coming out of Alabama, Wilson was praised for his efficient tackling, ability to cover tight ends, and was said to have a high ceiling.

This seemed like quite the steal with the 155th overall pick. The only problem is we haven’t seen any of this praise translate to the field in 22 games started.

He’s struggled with tackling, does not show any dominance at the point of attack, and hasn’t proven he can cover an NFL-level tight end. Wilson is the complete opposite of an impact player. In his 2 years so far he has recorded one interception and one sack.

What he has done on the field so far is not worthy of being a starter in this league for much longer. If Wilson cannot prove he can be an impact player early in the season, the enticing second-round pick, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah will be ready to step up
