Cleveland Browns Bold Prediction No. 2: Defense will produce five sacks, two turnovers, and a defensive touchdown

I have to be completely transparent. This prediction does not feel that bold to me. The Browns defensive line caused a ton of havoc and pressure in week one against the Chiefs. The only problem was they were facing the only quarterback that was equipped to thrive in that scenario, Patrick Mahomes.

In Week 2, the Browns defense will face ex-Browns’ quarterback Tyrod Taylor. While Taylor is mobile, he poses nowhere near the threat that Mahomes does when scrambling and going off script. If the Browns can replicate the pressure from week one, the Texans will not be able to withstand the chaos.

Taylor is not easy to rattle, and he will do his best to stay within himself to not turn the ball over. Only so much will be in Taylor’s control with the firepower the Browns employ on the defensive line. Speed kills, and the Browns have it in spades coming off the edge. Myles Garrett, Takkarist McKinley, and former Texan Jadeveon Clowney will all record sacks.

Turnovers come in bunches, and the Browns are going to get the takeaway party started on Sunday. One of those turnovers are going to end up in the Texans end zone. Browns’ rookie Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah will scoop up a fumble caused by the defensive line and take it to pay dirt.
