Cleveland Browns Bold Prediction No. 5: Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt will both have over 100 yards rushing

Once again, I am not sure this qualifies as a bold prediction. Last November these two teams met in one of the windiest games in recent memory. Passing the ball became more of an afterthought and the running game took the forefront.

Both Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt carried the ball 19 times, and both running backs gained over 100 rushing yards in the contest. This time around both Chubb and Hunt will see similar volume, but it will not be due to the weather. This time their usage will be due to the Browns getting an early lead, and they will use the duo to shorten the clock.

Last season, the Browns identity was forged by using the running game to open up the passing game. Then coach Kevin Stefanski would call upon his stud running backs to ice the game. There is no arguing with success, as the Browns were able to employ the strategy to the tune of 11 wins.

However, with Mayfield in his second year in the offense, the Browns will not have to set up the passing game against most teams. Instead, balanced efficiency will be the 2021 Browns calling card. But, as it is the path of least resistance, Chubb and Hunt will once again be called upon to get the team to the final whistle.
