Cleveland Browns Bold Prediction No. 5: Myles Garrett gets back to being Myles Garrett

Myles Garrett is coming off of a week two performance that could be described as something that is not associated with intimidating edge defender…lackluster. Fans and analysts alike took notice of the quiet performance, but then again, so did Garrett. This Sunday Garrett is going to remind everyone exactly who they are dealing with.

The Browns are facing a dynamic, yet raw, rookie quarterback this week in Justin Fields. The front four for Cleveland has to pressure the rookie into mistakes. Look for Garrett to lead the charge.

Garrett is going to be facing off with an ultra-veteran left tackle in Jason Peters. Now, I do believe that Peters will one day don a yellow jacket in Canton, but those days are far behind him. Peters will not be able to withstand Garrett’s freakish combination of speed and power.

Garrett’s ability to come off the ball is a problem for any left tackle in the league, but for an 18-year veteran who has not seen a pro bowl since 2016 it is going to be a nightmare. Getting to Fields will not be the problem but corralling the rookie and getting him to the ground will be slightly harder.

Not only will Garrett get to Fields, but he will get him down twice including a strip sack-fumble. Then all will be right with the universe.
