LeBron James grew up in Ohio but has been one of the better-known Dallas Cowboys fans. That’s no longer the case as he says he’s now a Cleveland Browns fan.

For years, he’s been known as a Dallas Cowboys fan but while that franchise was beating up on the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football, LeBron James was swearing his allegiance to his hometown team, the Cleveland Browns.

LeBron was a guest on the new ‘Manning-Cast’ which plays simultaneously along with the ESPN version of Monday Night Football. During his time on the show, James talked about several things including playing football during his youth and his love for the Browns.

We all know he grew up a fan of the Cowboys and has been seen on the field with them before games. James was also recently at a Los Angeles Rams game as he and fellow Los Angeles Lakers star Carmelo Anthony were in attendance as the Rams beat Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Still, he says that he’s all-in on his hometown team and it’s understandable why. Cleveland is making believers out of everyone, especially after a dominant Week 3 win over the Chicago Bears.

Having said all that, there were other comments from the Space Jam: A New Legacy star that were even more interesting. During the conversation, James said that he was offered contracts to play in the NFL by both Jerry Jones, the owner of the Cowboys, and Pete Carroll who coaches the Seattle Seahawks.

Of course, it makes sense for them considering James is 6-foot-8 and 250-pounds — not to mention more athletic than any other NFL player at that size. He likely could have been a successful tight end had he wanted to be, but with how well he’s done in the NBA, we all know he made the best choice.

He also made the best choice as a fan by deciding to join the Dawg Pound.
