Cleveland Browns Bold Prediction No. 4: Baker Mayfield completes 80 percent of his passes for 300 yards

So far in the first three weeks of the 2021 season, Baker Mayfield has been incredibly accurate. He’s completed 59-of-80 pass attempts which is a percentage of 73.8 percent. Sure, it’s a small sample size but his play has been incredibly promising this far.

Looking ahead to this weekend, there’s no reason to think he won’t continue to excel. In fact, chances are he could be even better on Sunday than his season average.

That’s because the Vikings’ secondary has struggled to slow down opposing passing games. They have surrendered 959 yards (319.7 per contest) and six touchdowns in the first three games. The lowest yardage they surrendered was 261 to Joe Burrow in Week 1 and the worst completion percentage by an opposing quarterback was in Week 3 when Russell Wilson hit on 71.8 percent of his throws — although he still had 298 yards.

Kyler Murray was the one who really torched them, netting 400 yards and three touchdowns while completing 29-of-36 passes.

Add all that together and the Browns should feel confident that Mayfield is in for a big day. In this bold prediction as he tops 300 yards passing while completing 80 percent of his passes — or better. Mayfield has been silencing the doubters all season and that should continue in Week 4.
