Cleveland Browns Bold Prediction No. 3: Grant Delpit, John Johnson both get picks

Despite the 1-2 start, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins has been fantastic through three weeks. Cousins has completed 88-of-119 passes (73.9 percent) for 918 yards with eight touchdowns. Even more impressive, he has yet to throw an interception.

Cleveland, to this point, hasn’t been creating a whole lot of turnovers. In fact, they have just one interception in three games with linebacker Malcolm Smith hauling in the only one on the year.

It was nearly two picks though as starting safety John Johnson III was able to pick off Justin Fields in Week 3. Unfortunately, he was flagged on the play as well for pass interference which turned it from a huge play for the Cleveland defense into a massive gain for the Bears.

With the Browns having only one pick and Cousins taking great care of the football, it seems unlikely that this game will have multiple picks for Cleveland ‚— but we still predict two of them, with one coming from each of their safeties as John Johnson and Grant Delpit each grab one.

For Johnson, it would be his first interception with the Browns after coming over from the Los Angeles Rams in the offseason. For Delpit, it would be his first career pick. After missing his rookie season due to a torn Achilles, Delpit has played in just 43 snaps as he works his way back. This could be the game he breaks out and it would truly help the Browns secure a win.
