AFC Power Rankings No. 3 – Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens are a tough one. I want to say that they aren’t that good, but they are 4-1 with wins over the Raiders, Broncos, and Chiefs who are all pretty good teams.

On the flip side, it took a record-breaking field goal by Justin Tucker for them to beat the Lions, and a 16-point comeback with two missed field goals by the Colts for them to get a win last Monday night.

While they are certainly a good team, I do think the Cleveland Browns can beat them. The reason the Browns aren’t ahead of the Ravens right now? I must see the Browns finish a close game before they make the jump.

No matter how much it pains me to say, Lamar Jackson continues to be the most athletic guy on the field at all times, and he continues to progress as a passer. If defenses use eight guys to stop him from running, he will throw it all over the field, if you put six guys in coverage, he will run all over you. The Ravens offense is tough to stop even though you know what’s coming.

It won’t be easy for the Ravens the next three games either. They host the Chargers, Bengals, and Vikings as they finish a stretch of four home games. Home field advantage is huge, but if they lose focus as they did in the first half vs. the Colts on Monday vs. any of these teams, they could easily lose.
