Cleveland Browns key to winning No. 2: Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney

Honestly, the best player on your defense is going to be a major key to winning every game, but with a mobile quarterback, both the defensive ends will be huge. It seems like Jadaveon Clowney should play this week, but Takk McKinley will likely see increased snaps to not overwork Clowney, and because he played so well last week.

As good as Myles Garrett was last week, there were a few times where he lost contain badly and Justin Herbert exposed the Browns defense when he took off running. If Herbert had a couple of chunk runs, imagine what Kyler Murray will do with a crease or two.

The defensive ends must get pressure and collapse the pocket, but they can’t let Murray get outside of them. This limits the pass rush techniques to an extent, but both Garrett and Clowney thrive on the speed rush which will be most effective this week.

Look for Woods to also utilize JOK and/or Grant Delpit with strategic blitzes to speed up the internal clock of Murray. This is a week where you may give up a big pass or two, but you can’t let Murray get going on the ground or it will be a long day for this defense.
