Cleveland Browns Reason No. 3 for concern: Schedule

I mentioned it in the opening paragraph briefly, but the Cleveland Browns schedule will do them absolutely no favors moving forward. In their 11 remaining games, they will face all three division rivals twice, the Broncos, Patriots, Lions, Raiders, and Packers.

I’ll give it to you that the Lions should be a layup and the Patriots will be a winnable game, but the rest will all be extremely contested games.

Not only do they play the Ravens on back-to-back weeks with a bye in between, but the first meeting is also at Baltimore on Sunday night football. Talk about a crazy environment to go play in. Then not to mention, they must travel to Lambeau Field on Christmas day to take on Aaron Rogers who doesn’t lose at home in December.

With the AFC West and AFC North being extremely tough, the Browns are going to have to prove they can win some difficult games to have a shot at the playoffs again. The first big test will be this Thursday when they face the Broncos who will also be eyeing a shot as a wildcard contender.

Winning games in the NFL is never easy, and the Browns were certainly not dealt any favors this season. Originally it appeared the Chargers, Cardinals, Broncos, and Patriots could be middle-of-the-road NFL teams.  They all have ended up overachieving.

The Patriots may not have the record to show, but they have been in every single game including losses to Tampa Bay and Dallas.
