Cleveland Browns Replacement Option No. 2 – Treylon Burks, Arkansas

Likely the number three or four receiver off the board in 2022 will be the standout receiver from Arkansas, Treylon Burks. This is just one of those freak athlete guys who can do it all. Not only is Burks 6-foot3, 225 pounds, but he also has the ability to run in the 4.3s and can just jump out of the gym.

Burks is fluid in every single route that he runs, has experience against tough press coverage in the SEC, and is by far the primary target for the team with not a ton of help around him. He’s used to drawing a crowd and still finding a way to make plays.

If the Cleveland Browns were able to land a guy such as Burks, this could be a franchise receiver for the next 10 years. He is just that good. The biggest issue right now for Burks is finding a home for him.

Through college, he is moved all over the field to find matchups and really hasn’t found a primary position. He’s likely an X (outside) receiver in the NFL and would be a comparable skillset to a guy like Jarvis Landry.

It feels like Burks will be available when the Browns go on the clock, but it’s tough to tell right now. I still see the Cleveland Browns as a playoff team in 2021, but depending on the health of Baker Mayfield, they may be picking closer to 20 than 30 in 2022.
