Cleveland Browns Replacement Option No. 1 – Garrett Wilson, Ohio State

Ohio State has two of the best (if not the best) wide receivers in the country for 2021. I’ll admit, I like Garrett Wilson more than Chris Olave, but many have Olave as the No. 1 prospect and Wilson as the No. 2.

While I do think it may be a stretch to get Wilson even if he is the number two receiver off the board, I think Andrew Berry should certainly consider jumping up to take him if they see an opportunity.

Wilson isn’t the biggest guy at 6-foot-0 and 192 pounds, but he plays much bigger than that and is a huge threat over the middle of the field. Even at six feet tall, he has a crazy vertical leap and has no issues going up high and making the difficult catches in the end zone.

10 years ago, a true slot receiver was unlikely to get drafted in the first round, but now the game has changed. Slots get as many targets (if not more) than the outside receivers, and they see just as many snaps.

With Peoples-Jones on the roster who can play outside, Garrett is my favorite target for the Browns to bolster up the wide receiver position for 2022.
